On Wednesday, 15th of Feb, the kid’s went on their first excursion of the year. What a wonderful day at the beach! In the bus, the little ones got excited as soon as they first saw the sea. Everyone was singing and waiting for the moment to put their feet into the water. When we reached our destination at Strandfontein Pavilion, the enthusiasm rose even more. Once free into the Atlantic Ocean they started to run everywhere (although many where scared of the water at first!).
The air was filled with joy and loud laughter. We played a lot! With the ball, tag, ring-a-rosy… some kids went to the search of seashells, others made sand castles. It was beautiful to see them so happy and fully enjoying their freedom. After lunch time, many relaxed and laid down on their beach towels, chit chatting with their friends. Before the end of the journey, the sight of a drone caught everyone’s attention. It sometimes flew very high, sometimes very low, sometimes very far, sometimes very close, and you could feel all the kids’ basic instinct to follow it, and maybe fly too, as high as possible.
What a beautiful day, hoping that the future will grant them these highs, making them as high as their wishes.
