From our volunteer: Mariska (The Netherlands) The networking DIVA conference on the 13th of March 2014, has business sessions to inspire people and let them network with each other. It’s all about people who have some of the same business goals in life. A few topics will be discussed at this conference from 9am to 4pm. There are many different great speakers and each speaker will tell something in their own specialty. It is a day you have to be open to learn and interact with everybody! At the conference there are also women with experience to cross international borders and search for better job opportunities. They weren’t always able to study or learn English, but they had the power to do it all by themselves. DIVA’s give all women the advice, to have a professional career. In order to do this, one must act with T.I.M.E. This means Test, Invest, Meet and go to Events. Finance is also an important role in your career or if you start as an entrepreneur. The key is to develop a real financial infrastructure for a long-term situation. Summarized, on this conference day there are a lot of business mentor breakout sessions to learn you how you can create connections, opportunities, development and training methods that really count. Where Rainbows Meet The similarities between DIVA and Where Rainbows Meet are to give women the opportunity to develop themselves and give them a chance to build a great future. Where Rainbows Meet also works with local youth to educate them and to develop good values as well as the ability to explore possibilities outside of the township. Both companies are open for volunteers and I think it will make a difference.
